How Much Does Self-Drive EV Rental Cost in Nepal? (Price Guide)
A full breakdown of self-drive EV rental prices in Nepal — daily rates by vehicle class, multi-day discounts, driver add-on cost, and what's typically included.
"How much does it actually cost" is the first question on almost every call we get, so here's the full rate breakdown by vehicle class, plus what typically pushes the price up or down.
Rates by Vehicle Class
All rates are tiered by rental length — the longer you book, the lower your daily rate.
Economy hatchbacks (e.g. Nammi Box, BYD Dolphin) — best for city driving and short valley trips like Nagarkot or Bandipur:
- 2-day rate: NPR 7,000/day
- 7-day rate: NPR 6,500/day
- 15-day rate: NPR 6,000/day
- 30-day rate: NPR 5,000/day
Mid-range SUVs (e.g. MG S5, Seres EV, BYD Atto 2) — comfortable highway range for Pokhara, Chitwan, or Lumbini:
- 2-day rate: NPR 8,500/day
- 7-day rate: NPR 7,500/day
- 15-day rate: NPR 6,500/day
- 30-day rate: NPR 5,500/day
Upper-range and signature SUVs (e.g. BYD Atto 3, iCar V23, Deepal S05, Riddara RD6, Jaecoo J6, Deepal S07) — the long-range choice for Mustang, Ilam, and other multi-day expeditions:
- 2-day rate: NPR 9,000–14,000/day depending on model
- 30-day rate: NPR 6,000–8,500/day depending on model

What's Included in the Rate
Every rental includes the vehicle, insurance, and a charging plan built around your exact route before you leave — so you're never guessing where the next charger is. A driver is available as an optional add-on for NPR 3,000/day on any vehicle in the fleet, for travelers who'd rather not self-drive the whole trip.
What Changes the Price
- Rental length: the single biggest lever — a 30-day rate can run roughly 30–40% below the 2-day rate on the same vehicle.
- Vehicle class: range and seating drive the difference between an economy hatchback and a signature long-range SUV more than anything else.
- Route: longer or more remote routes (Mustang, Ilam, Rara) don't change the daily rate, but do factor into which vehicle we'd recommend for range reasons.
- Driver add-on: a flat NPR 3,000/day regardless of vehicle class.
